Our Hobbies

Our interests are with technical and spiritual things.

This is a picture of our computer network operations center showing our servers, NetGear 24-port Ethernet 10/100 switch w/2 gigbit ports, our VoIP box and our high-speed cable modem. We typically have download speeds of around 385k per second.

We run Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 as our NOS which gives us Exchange (mail), ISA (shared Internet access and firewall, Fax Service (all faxes come as TIF files, so we can delete the junk), and SQL Server (database). We use TrendMicro Client/Server/Messaging for virus protection, TrendMicro Anti-Spyware to keep prying eyes out of our computers and Veritas Backup Exec 10 for server backup.

We are licenced amateur radio operators: Dale - KCØTAP and Sharon - ACØGH. We have two external amateur radio antennas and one in the attic. We volunteer as Skywarn Net Control Operators during the summer months; providing updates to the National Weather Service from trained weather spotters in the field. We also assist the Bloomington Police Department at various civic events during the year.

Our Beliefs

We are members of Grace Church located in Eden Prairie, MN. We believe the Bible is God's Holy Word. It guides our decisions, actions and desires.

We believe prayer is the most powerful activity one can be involved in. Jesus Christ is our hero - he defeated Satan through His death on the cross! Because we have given our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, we know we will spend eternity in heaven with Him when our lives on this earth end.
